Today was our 39 week appointment with the nurse practitioner, to make sure baby Piper and Jo were doing great. Jo has been so uncomfortable, and was determined to get Piper out of her and into her arms. At the end of our appointment, Jo inquired about how soon we could get the process started and was told that the Dr would be calling. I left Jo at home to continue my day at work, expecting to hear that Piper would be coming later in the week. Not an hour into a meeting, Jo called, and let me know that the journey was begining tonight. We entered into the hospital Monday night, 6/23, around 7pm and had an interesting night, sleeping in hospital beds and feeling mild contractions. At 8:00 this morning, 6/24, Jo got her first dose of meds to begin Piper's decent... We can't wait to for you to get here!
